Merchandiser in Salalah, Oman
As a Merchandiser in Salalah, Oman, you will be responsible for maximizing sales and profitability by ensuring that products are displayed and promoted effectively in retail stores. Your role will involve working closely with buyers and store managers to understand the needs of the target market and develop strategies to increase product visibility and drive sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular store visits to monitor product availability, placement, and promotional activity
- Negotiate prime product placement and display space with store managers
- Develop visual merchandising plans to enhance product presentation and maximize sales
- Train store staff on product features and benefits to increase their knowledge and confidence in promoting products
- Monitor competitor activity and provide feedback on market trends and customer preferences
- Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for improvement or expansion of product offerings
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Merchandiser or related role in the retail industry
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (Arabic knowledge is a plus)
- Proven track record of driving sales through effective merchandising strategies
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with cross-functional teams
