Executive Chef at a Student-Friendly Restaurant in Vianden

Our busy restaurant in the charming city of Vianden is looking for an experienced and creative Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team and create delicious dishes for our student customers. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, inventory management, and staff training. You will also work closely with our front-of-house team to ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and update menus based on seasonal ingredients and student preferences
- Train and supervise kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and sanitation standards
- Monitor food costs and manage inventory levels to maximize profitability
- Collaborate with front-of-house team to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service
- Maintain high standards of quality control and hygiene throughout the kitchen
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques or ingredients into menu items

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Creativity in developing new dishes while also being able to execute classic recipes flawlessly
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a diverse team
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for kitchen hygiene
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Familiarity with budgeting, inventory management, and cost control techniques
- Proficient in English (knowledge of other languages is a plus)
