Librarian vacancy in Mecca Saudi Arabia

Librarian (Pakistani/Malayalees preferred)


We are seeking a highly organized and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team at a prestigious library in Mecca. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection, assisting patrons with research and reference needs, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English is not required for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the library's collection by cataloging, shelving, and maintaining materials
- Assist patrons with research inquiries and reference needs
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, helping patrons find materials, and recommending resources
- Develop and implement programs to promote reading and literacy within the community
- Collaborate with other librarians to plan events and activities for library patrons
- Stay updated on current trends in library science and new technologies used in libraries

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Knowledge of library systems and procedures
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Fluency in English is not required but would be considered an asset
