Chef de Cuisine - Indian Cuisine
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Chef de Cuisine with expertise in Indian cuisine to join our team in Jeddah. As a chef de cuisine, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, creating and developing menus, and maintaining high-quality food standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain authentic Indian cuisine menu items
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure food quality and consistency
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including ordering ingredients, managing inventory, and maintaining cleanliness
- Collaborate with management to develop new dishes and menu items
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
- Create cost-effective menus while maintaining high-quality standards
- Monitor food costs and manage budget effectively
- Maintain a positive working relationship with the team
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Chef de Cuisine in Indian restaurants or hotels
- Extensive knowledge of Indian cuisine, including regional variations
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate kitchen staff
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A degree or diploma in culinary arts is preferred
Salary: 1000$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Jeddah
Preference: Indian nationals preferred. Fluent English speaking candidates are encouraged to apply.
