Job Title: Pastry Chef at a Luxury Hotel in Manama, Bahrain
We are hiring a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our team at a luxury hotel in Manama, Bahrain. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods for our hotel's restaurants and events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and execute pastry menus for various outlets in the hotel
- Prepare high-quality desserts, including cakes, pastries, tarts, and other sweet treats
- Monitor inventory levels and order ingredients as needed
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed
- Train and manage junior pastry chefs and assistants
- Collaborate with other chefs to develop new menu items
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment
- Extensive knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and sanitation standards
- Ability to create visually appealing desserts with attention to detail
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of international pastry trends is preferred
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef
- Fluent in English (Arabic language skills are a plus)
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
