Head Chef


A renowned restaurant in Nairobi is seeking a skilled Head Chef to join our team and oversee the culinary operations of our establishment. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating exceptional and innovative dishes, managing kitchen staff, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
- Create menus that are both creative and cost-effective
- Develop new recipes and dishes to keep the menu fresh and exciting
- Train and supervise kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and sanitation practices
- Manage inventory, ordering, and budgeting for kitchen supplies
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen area
- Collaborate with management to plan special events or promotions
- Monitor customer feedback to continuously improve menu offerings and customer experience
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate them into menu development

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Detailed knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Ability to create innovative dishes while also maintaining cost control measures
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff effectively
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with management, staff, suppliers, and customers
- Up-to-date knowledge of food safety regulations

Salary: $1000 per month

Location: Nairobi (local candidates preferred)

Working Hours: Full-time
