Executive Chef
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at a prestigious restaurant in Jeddah. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations and managing a team of chefs. The ideal candidate should have previous experience in a fine dining establishment and possess excellent leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and create menu items, ensuring high quality and consistency
- Oversee kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients and supplies
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food quality and service
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with the restaurant management to plan events and special menus
- Monitor food costs and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints regarding food quality or service
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a fine dining establishment
- Culinary degree or equivalent work experience
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and cuisines
- Excellent leadership skills to manage a team of chefs effectively
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
- Effective communication skills to interact with kitchen staff, management, and customers
- Experience with menu development, cost control, inventory management, and event planning
- Knowledge of health codes and regulations related to food handling and safety
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Salary: 1800$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Jeddah (accommodation provided)
