Library Coordinator

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Library Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of our library in Wiltz. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for books and literature, as well as exceptional customer service skills. As a Library Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection, assisting patrons with research requests, and coordinating events and programs. You will also be responsible for maintaining the library's budget and supervising a team of library assistants. Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in cataloging and information management systems
- Knowledge of current literature trends and resources
- Fluency in English (knowledge of French is a plus)
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed

Responsibilities:
- Manage the library's collection, including cataloging, shelving, and weeding materials.
- Assist patrons with research requests, including locating materials, recommending resources, and providing instruction on using databases.
- Coordinate events and programs such as book clubs, author readings, and children's storytime sessions.
- Maintain the library's budget by tracking expenses, ordering supplies, and seeking out funding opportunities.
- Supervise a team of library assistants by assigning tasks, providing training, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Stay up-to-date on current literature trends and resources to ensure that the library's collection meets the needs of its users.
- Collaborate with other departments within the organization to promote literacy initiatives and community outreach efforts.
- Ensure that all library policies are followed by both staff members and patrons.
