Instrument Technician - Nizwa, Oman



We are in need of an Instrument Technician to join our team in Nizwa, Oman. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instrumentation and be able to work independently without accommodation. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of instruments used in industrial and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair instruments such as pressure gauges, thermometers, flow meters, and transmitters
- Calibrate instruments according to specifications using hand tools and testing equipment
- Troubleshoot instrument malfunctions and determine the root cause of issues
- Perform routine maintenance on instruments to ensure they are functioning properly
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to ensure proper functioning of instruments
- Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an Instrument Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components related to instrumentation
- Familiarity with mechanical systems and tools used for calibration and repair
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics for troubleshooting purposes
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
