Milling Machine Operator

We are in search of a skilled Milling Machine Operator to join our team in Nairobi. As a Milling Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining milling machines to produce precision parts and components for various industries.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate milling machines according to specifications
- Select the appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds for each job
- Inspect workpieces for defects and make necessary adjustments
- Monitor machine performance, including temperature, speed, and feed rate
- Troubleshoot issues and perform routine maintenance on machines
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety procedures

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience operating milling machines in a manufacturing setting
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring tools
- Proficient in using computer-controlled equipment and software
- Excellent problem-solving skills with an eye for detail
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Salary: $1100 per month (part-time)
