Indian English-Speaking Librarian (Contract) in Jizan


We are seeking a qualified and experienced Indian English-speaking librarian for a contract position in Jizan. As a librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library collection, assisting patrons with research needs, cataloging and organizing materials, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the library collection, including ordering new materials and processing donations.
- Assist patrons with research needs by helping them locate resources and providing instruction on how to use library resources.
- Catalog and organize materials using appropriate classification systems and software.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries, assisting with technology use, and resolving any issues or concerns.
- Plan and implement library programs and events to promote literacy and engage the community.
- Collaborate with other librarians to develop policies and procedures for the library.
- Stay up-to-date on current trends in librarianship, technology, and literature.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
- Fluency in English speaking required; ability to speak Arabic is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a librarian.
- Knowledge of cataloging systems such as Dewey Decimal or Library of Congress.
- Familiarity with electronic databases, online catalogs, and other technology used in libraries.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to work well with diverse populations.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

Contract Terms:
