Puncher (Contract)


We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Puncher to join our team in Nairobi on a contract basis. As a Puncher, you will play a crucial role in our production process by accurately punching holes or slots in materials such as metal, plastic, or paper according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate punch press machine to punch holes or slots in materials
- Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and production schedules to determine punch specifications
- Select and install appropriate punches and dies on the machine
- Adjust machine settings for speed, depth of punch, and alignment of materials
- Inspect material for defects before punching and make necessary adjustments
- Monitor machine operation to ensure quality of punched material meets standards
- Troubleshoot any issues with the machine or material and make necessary repairs or adjustments
- Keep work area clean and organized for safe and efficient operation

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Puncher in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong knowledge of operating punch press machines and reading blueprints
- Ability to use various hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, and rulers for precise measurements
- Good physical strength and stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy materials
- Attention to detail with strong manual dexterity
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Own reliable transportation

We offer a competitive salary of $1100 per month for this contract position. Please note that this is not a permanent role and does not include accommodation or visa sponsorship. This position is suitable for students looking for part-time work.
