Head Chef


A reputable restaurant in the beautiful coastal city of Acre is seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the kitchen, ensuring the highest quality of food and service for our guests. This is a contract position with a salary of 1200$, including accommodation, free visa and ticket.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and create menus that are innovative and appealing to our customers
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high quality and consistency
- Manage inventory and ordering of food supplies
- Develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers to ensure fresh and high-quality ingredients
- Train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and productivity
- Monitor food costs to maintain profitability without compromising on quality
- Collaborate with restaurant management to create new dishes or special menus for events or promotions

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel
- Extensive knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Creativity in menu planning and ability to keep up with current food trends
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with staff at all levels as well as suppliers
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience managing inventory, cost control, and budgeting is preferred

Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred but not required
- Valid work permit for Acre preferred but not required; company can assist with obtaining necessary documents if needed
