Part-Time Preservation Architect
City: Beer-Sheva, Israel
A small preservation architecture firm in Beer-Sheva is seeking a skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team on a part-time basis. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects ranging from historic preservation to adaptive reuse. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural design and a passion for preserving and rehabilitating historic structures.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits and assessments of historic structures
- Research and document the historical significance of structures
- Develop design proposals for the rehabilitation and adaptive reuse of historic buildings
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for preservation projects
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other professionals to ensure project success
- Stay updated on current trends and techniques in preservation architecture
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in preservation architecture
- Strong knowledge of preservation principles, practices, and regulations
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and other architectural software
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
