Head Pastry Chef
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team in Beer-Sheva, Israel. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing our pastry menu, managing the pastry team, and ensuring high-quality and consistent desserts for our guests. You must have at least 5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for creating unique and delicious desserts. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1300 per month.
As the Head Pastry Chef, your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing new pastry menu items that align with our restaurant's concept and standards.
- Overseeing all aspects of the pastry kitchen, including food preparation, inventory management, and sanitation.
- Managing and training the pastry team to ensure top-notch execution of all dishes.
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Collaborating with other chefs to create well-rounded menus for special events or holidays.
- Staying updated on industry trends and techniques to continuously improve our dessert offerings.
- Adhering to all safety and sanitation regulations in the kitchen.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a team.
- Creativity in designing new desserts while also maintaining classic recipes.
- In-depth knowledge of various baking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and sanitation standards.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
- A degree or certification in culinary arts is preferred but not required.
