Executive Chef in Jerusalem, Israel
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Jerusalem, Israel. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for creating and implementing menus, overseeing kitchen operations, and managing a team of kitchen staff. This is a full-time position with accommodation provided and free visa and ticket assistance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative menus that reflect local flavors and seasonal ingredients
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Ensure high quality standards are met for all dishes served
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to maintain consistency in food quality and presentation
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Monitor food costs and make adjustments to menu items as necessary
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
- Adhere to health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Creative flair for developing new dishes while also honoring traditional recipes
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- Excellent communication skills to effectively train staff and communicate with other departments
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Knowledge of Kosher dietary requirements preferred
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends
