Executive Chef at a Fine Dining Restaurant in Ashdod, Israel
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in Ashdod. This is a full-time position that requires a passionate and dedicated individual with exceptional culinary skills.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain high-quality menus that reflect the restaurant's style and concept
- Oversee food preparation and ensure dishes are prepared to the highest standards
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions when necessary
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain kitchen equipment to ensure smooth operations
- Collaborate with management on budgeting, cost control, and menu pricing strategies
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques into menu offerings
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a fine dining establishment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Extensive knowledge of different cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles
- Ability to create innovative dishes while also maintaining consistency in quality and presentation
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with management, staff, and vendors
- Attention to detail for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety protocols
Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification from an accredited institution preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in high-end restaurants or hotels
- Proven track record of developing successful menus that meet customer demands
- Knowledge of Israeli cuisine is an advantage
Salary: $1400/month (negotiable based on experience)
