Head Chef - Ashdod, Israel


We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to join our team in Ashdod, Israel. As the head of our kitchen, you will be responsible for creating and executing high-quality dishes that meet our standards of taste and presentation. You will lead a team of cooks and kitchen staff, ensuring that all dishes are prepared and served on time while maintaining the highest level of food safety and cleanliness.

Responsibilities:
- Develop new menu items and ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation
- Train and guide kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times
- Ensure compliance with health codes and regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events or catering services
- Manage scheduling, payroll, budgeting, and cost control for the kitchen department

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Extensive knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a team effectively
- Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure
- Excellent communication skills in English (Hebrew proficiency is a plus)
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, holidays as needed

Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Food safety certification required (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or higher position

Salary: $1200/month (negotiable based on experience)
