Head Pastry Chef


We are a renowned bakery in Ashdod and we are looking for a skilled and creative Head Pastry Chef to join our team. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of all pastries, desserts and breads, ensuring that they meet our high standards of quality and presentation.

Responsibilities:
- Develop new pastry recipes and update existing ones to keep up with current trends
- Create menus for special occasions and events
- Train and supervise pastry chefs and assistants
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean kitchen
- Order ingredients and supplies, monitor inventory levels and control costs
- Collaborate with other departments to plan menus, develop new products, and improve processes
- Participate in menu planning meetings, providing input on pastry offerings
- Stay updated on industry trends and techniques through research and attending workshops or conferences

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role
- Excellent knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and sanitation standards
- Ability to create visually appealing desserts that taste delicious
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Creativity and passion for pastry making
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills

Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or Pastry Making preferred
- Certification in food safety or relevant training is an advantage

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1500$ per month for this full-time position. Salary may vary based on experience.

Location:
This position is located in Ashdod but we welcome applicants from all nationalities who have valid work permits.
