Loader Operator
A Loader Operator is responsible for operating heavy machinery, such as loaders, to move materials around construction sites or other work areas. This position requires strong hand-eye coordination and physical stamina to operate the equipment for extended periods of time. The Loader Operator must also have a good understanding of safety protocols and be able to perform routine maintenance on the equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a loader to move materials, such as dirt, gravel, or debris
- Load and unload materials onto trucks or other equipment
- Ensure that the load is secure and balanced before moving it
- Follow safety procedures at all times
- Perform routine maintenance on the loader, such as checking oil levels and inspecting for any damage
- Communicate with other team members to coordinate tasks and ensure efficiency
- Keep the worksite clean and organized
- Report any malfunctions or issues with the equipment to a supervisor
- Adhere to all local regulations and laws regarding heavy machinery operation
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience operating heavy machinery, specifically loaders
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures for operating heavy equipment
- Physical stamina to sit or stand for long periods of time while operating the loader
- Strong hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with others
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license (if required by local regulations)
- Experience with routine maintenance on heavy equipment preferred
