Android Developer

We are hiring an experienced Android Developer to join our team in Herzliya. As an Android Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mobile applications for the Android platform. You will work closely with our team of designers and developers to create user-friendly and high-performance applications.

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop advanced applications for the Android platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

Requirements:
- Proven working experience in Android app development
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
- Strong knowledge of Java programming language and Android SDK
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
- Understanding of Material Design principles and UI/UX standards
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience working in Agile development environment
- Familiarity with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
- Knowledge of other mobile platforms (iOS) is a plus
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git

This is a contract position with a salary of $1000 per month. Accommodation can be provided for non-local candidates. A biometric passport is required for international travel.
