Entry Level Preservation Architect
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Entry Level Preservation Architect to join our team in Herzliya. As a Preservation Architect, you will work on preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures, ensuring their longevity and cultural significance for future generations.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting site visits and assessments of historic buildings, documenting their condition and identifying areas of deterioration or damage
- Developing plans for preservation and restoration projects, including cost estimates, timelines, and materials specifications
- Collaborating with other architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure the successful execution of preservation projects
- Conducting research on the history and cultural significance of the buildings being preserved to inform restoration decisions
- Creating detailed drawings and models to illustrate proposed preservation plans
- Overseeing construction work to ensure that it adheres to preservation standards and guidelines
- Monitoring the ongoing condition of preserved buildings and recommending maintenance or repair as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Strong understanding of historic preservation principles
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other architectural software
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
- Strong communication skills
Salary: $1100/month
Location: Herzliya
Note: While experience is preferred, we are also open to recent graduates or those with little experience who are passionate about historic preservation. Visa sponsorship may be available for the right candidate. Accommodation will not be provided.
