Head Pastry Chef
As a Head Pastry Chef, you will oversee the pastry department of our high-end restaurant located in Herzliya. You will be responsible for creating and executing a variety of delicious pastries and desserts that meet our customers' expectations. Your creativity and attention to detail will be crucial in designing new menu items and ensuring consistent quality in all pastry offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the pastry team, including training and scheduling
- Develop new and innovative pastry dishes to add to our menu
- Ensure high-quality standards are met in all pastries served
- Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies, ordering as needed
- Oversee proper storage and handling of all pastry items
- Collaborate with other chefs to create well-rounded menus
- Stay updated on industry trends and techniques
- Adhere to all sanitation, safety, and hygiene regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Knowledge of various baking techniques and desserts from different cultures
- Creativity in designing visually appealing pastries with unique flavors
- Excellent time-management skills to meet production deadlines
- Strong leadership abilities to manage a team effectively
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Salary: $1400/month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Herzliya, Israel (candidates of any nationality welcome)
