Blast Furnace Operator



As a Blast Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining blast furnaces in a safe and efficient manner. This role is based in Nairobi, Kenya with a salary of $1500 per month, excluding accommodations. We are offering free visa and ticket for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor blast furnaces to ensure proper functioning
- Control temperature, pressure, and chemical composition of the furnace
- Monitor and adjust equipment to maintain optimal conditions for production
- Inspect equipment for any malfunctions or damages and report issues to the supervisor
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts
- Analyze samples of molten iron to ensure quality standards are met
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries
- Keep accurate records of production data, maintenance tasks, and any other relevant information

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Previous experience working with blast furnaces is preferred
- Strong understanding of furnace operations and maintenance procedures
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals
- Physically fit and able to work in a hot environment for extended periods of time
- Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work rotational shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays if required
