Pastry Chef at a Luxury Resort in Khasab, Oman
As a Pastry Chef at our luxury resort in Khasab, Oman, you will be responsible for creating and executing a variety of delicious pastries and desserts for our guests. You will work closely with the Executive Chef to develop new menu items and oversee the daily operations of the pastry kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, breads, and other sweet treats according to recipes and standards
- Ensure all items are consistently high quality and presented in an appealing manner
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings
- Oversee ordering and inventory management for the pastry kitchen
- Train and mentor junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel environment
- Knowledge of various baking techniques, ingredients, flavors, and trends
- Creativity and ability to develop visually stunning desserts that also taste delicious
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and manage a team
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary degree or certification is preferred but not required
Salary: $1300 per month (tax-free) plus accommodation, meals on duty, medical insurance, annual flight ticket allowance.
