Head Chef
We are in search of an experienced and skilled Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at a busy restaurant in Bayan. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for food and extensive knowledge of various cuisines, as well as the ability to manage and motivate a team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Create and develop new menu items, taking into consideration customer preferences and seasonal ingredients
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation
- Implement proper sanitation and food safety practices to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Manage inventory and ordering to ensure adequate supplies for daily operations
- Collaborate with restaurant management to strategize ways to increase profitability through menu design, cost control, etc.
- Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Stay updated on industry trends and developments in order to continuously improve the menu offerings
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills with both staff members and customers
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of cost control measures and budget management
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or relevant field is preferred
Salary:
$1800 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location:
Bayan (Indian nationals preferred)
