Interpreter - English/French
We are seeking a skilled Interpreter to join our team in Dickirch, Luxembourg. As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for facilitating communication between English and French speakers. This position requires fluency in both languages, as well as exceptional listening and speaking skills. Previous experience in interpretation is preferred, but not required. The salary for this position is 1400$, and accommodation is not provided. Biometric passport and the ability to work with women are necessary for this role.
As an Interpreter, your main duties will include accurately translating conversations between English and French speakers, both in person and over the phone. You will also be responsible for maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times, as well as ensuring cultural sensitivity in all interactions.
To be successful in this role, you must have a biometric passport and be legally eligible to work without sponsorship in Luxembourg. You must also have excellent verbal communication skills in both English and French, with the ability to understand a wide range of accents and dialects. Previous experience working as an interpreter or language teacher is preferred but not required.
This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to think quickly on their feet. You must also have strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with people from different backgrounds and cultures, with a strong understanding of cultural nuances.
In addition to interpreting conversations, you may also be asked to assist with document translation or proofreading tasks as needed. Therefore, proficiency in written English and French is also necessary for this role.
