Entry Level Librarian

We are currently seeking an English-speaking Entry Level Librarian for an urgent job opportunity in Abu Dhabi. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing library materials, assisting patrons with research and reference questions, and promoting library services to the community. This is an ideal position for someone without prior experience in the field, as we are willing to train the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize library materials, including cataloging, shelving, and maintaining inventory
- Assist patrons with research and reference questions, providing excellent customer service at all times
- Promote library services and resources to the community through outreach events and programs
- Create engaging displays and activities to encourage use of library resources
- Collaborate with other librarians to develop and implement new programs and services
- Stay up-to-date on current trends in librarianship and incorporate into daily work
- Attend professional development workshops or conferences as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field preferred
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing responsibilities

Salary: $1600 per month

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
