Senior Database Administrator



We are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Database Administrator to join our team in Vianden. As a Senior DBA, you will be responsible for the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of our company's databases. You will work closely with our development team to ensure the databases are optimized for performance and security.

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement database structures and schemas
- Install and configure database software
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Ensure data integrity and security through regular backups and maintenance
- Collaborate with developers to optimize database performance for applications
- Develop and implement data recovery plans in case of system failure
- Create user accounts and assign appropriate permissions
- Perform regular security audits to identify potential vulnerabilities
- Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and best practices

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Database Administrator
- Strong knowledge of SQL, database design, and data manipulation languages such as PL/SQL or T-SQL
- Experience with database management systems such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server
- Familiarity with database security concepts and procedures
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience working with large databases (over 1TB)
- Certification in Database Administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional)
