Database Administrator
We are hiring a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Wiltz. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing our company's databases, ensuring their security, reliability, and performance. Your primary role will be to design, implement, and maintain database structures and systems that meet our company's needs.

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement efficient database structures and systems
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Ensure data security and integrity by implementing appropriate backup and recovery procedures
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize database queries for improved performance
- Regularly perform data maintenance tasks such as data backups, restores, and purging of outdated data
- Develop procedures for data archiving to optimize storage space usage
- Provide technical support to end-users for database-related inquiries or issues

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role
- Proficiency in SQL and other database management languages
- Knowledge of database design principles and best practices
- Experience with database security protocols and procedures
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with development teams

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Database Administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional)
- Familiarity with cloud-based databases (e.g. AWS RDS)
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop)
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python)

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1400 per month plus accommodation, depending on experience.

This position is based in Wiltz, Luxembourg.
