Instrument Technician
The role of an Instrument Technician is to install, maintain, and repair various types of instruments used in industrial settings. This includes troubleshooting and diagnosing issues, performing regular maintenance checks, and ensuring the proper functioning of all instruments.
Responsibilities:
- Install, calibrate, and maintain various types of instruments such as sensors, transmitters, controllers, and analyzers
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using testing equipment
- Perform regular maintenance checks to ensure proper functioning of instruments
- Repair or replace faulty parts as needed
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to identify and resolve complex problems
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and industry developments related to instrumentation
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent education required; Associate's degree in a relevant field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an Instrument Technician in an industrial setting
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and understanding of schematics and blueprints
- Experience with calibration equipment
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
Location: Nairobi
Salary: $1700 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Working Hours: Full-time position
