Head Chef
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to oversee our culinary operations in Khasab. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating and implementing menus, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring high quality and timely food preparation. You will also be responsible for maintaining inventory levels, managing food costs, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop menus that align with our restaurant's concept and meet customer preferences
- Manage all aspects of kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure consistency in food quality and timely service
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients as needed
- Oversee food cost management to maintain profitability
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a diverse team
- Excellent time-management skills to handle high volume orders while maintaining quality
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a kitchen setting
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
