Junior Librarian


We are seeking a Junior Librarian to join our team at the Vilnius Public Library. As a Junior Librarian, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the library and providing excellent customer service to patrons. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about books and library services.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the library
- Help patrons locate books and other materials
- Check in and out materials using our biometric passport system
- Provide basic reference services to patrons
- Assist with programming and events for all ages
- Communicate with vendors for book orders and supplies
- Assist with collection development by identifying new titles for purchase

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred, but not required
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of library systems and procedures
- Experience working with biometric passport systems preferred
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
