Head Chef
We are looking for a skilled and creative Head Chef to join our team in Vilnius. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, from menu planning to food preparation and presentation. Your main goal will be to ensure that our customers are satisfied with their dining experience through delicious and visually appealing dishes. You should have a passion for cooking and strong leadership skills to effectively manage and train our kitchen staff. A competitive salary of 1700$ will be offered to the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop menus based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain high quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Train kitchen staff on proper food handling and safety procedures
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met in the kitchen at all times
- Collaborate with restaurant management on budgeting and cost control measures
- Maintain a positive work environment by motivating and managing kitchen staff effectively
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Creative flair with an eye for detail to present visually appealing dishes
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to delegate tasks efficiently
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Up-to-date knowledge of food safety regulations
- Fluency in English (Lithuanian language skills preferred but not required)
