Executive Pastry Chef
As an Executive Pastry Chef, you will oversee all aspects of the pastry department in our upscale restaurant located in Sheduva. You will be responsible for creating and executing a variety of pastry items, including desserts, breads, and other baked goods. Your creativity and attention to detail will be essential in developing new menu items and ensuring the highest quality in all pastry offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the pastry department, including budgeting, inventory management, and staff scheduling
- Create and execute a diverse range of pastry items that meet our high standards for taste, presentation, and quality
- Develop new menu items that align with current food trends while also incorporating traditional favorites
- Ensure proper sanitation and hygiene practices are followed by all staff members at all times
- Train and mentor junior pastry chefs to improve their skills and maintain consistency in product offerings
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of dessert orders
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques or ingredients into our pastry offerings
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of various baking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and sanitation practices
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Creative mindset with attention to detail for developing new menu items that meet customer expectations
- Strong communication skills to effectively train staff members and collaborate with other departments
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary institute
- Experience working with chocolate or sugar sculptures
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and ability to accommodate them in menu offerings
Salary: $1500/month (negotiable based on experience and qualifications)
Location: Sheduva, Lithuania (candidates of all nationalities are welcome to apply)
