Head Pastry Chef
The Head Pastry Chef will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the pastry department in our high-end restaurant located in Kaunas, Lithuania. This individual must have a passion for creating delicious desserts and pastries, as well as strong leadership skills to manage a team of pastry chefs.
Responsibilities:
- Create and develop new dessert and pastry recipes that adhere to the restaurant's standards
- Train, mentor, and supervise a team of pastry chefs to ensure high-quality products
- Manage inventory and order ingredients necessary for the production of pastries and desserts
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are met in the pastry department
- Collaborate with other chefs to create harmonious dishes for the restaurant's menu
- Oversee the presentation of pastries and desserts to ensure they meet aesthetic standards
- Monitor costs and expenses related to the pastry department to maintain profitability
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant
- Proven track record of creating exceptional pastries and desserts
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
Salary: 1600$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
