Preservation Architect
As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures in the city of Utena. Your main goal will be to ensure that these architectural treasures are protected and maintained for future generations. You will use your expertise in architecture, engineering, and historic preservation to assess the condition of buildings, develop preservation plans, and oversee restoration projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in historic preservation
- Extensive knowledge of architectural styles and building materials used in historical structures
- Familiarity with local and national preservation laws and regulations
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with clients, contractors, and government agencies
Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough assessments of historical buildings to determine their condition and identify any potential issues or risks
- Developing detailed preservation plans that outline the necessary repairs or restoration work for each building
- Collaborating with clients to ensure that their needs are met while also adhering to preservation standards
- Obtaining necessary permits from local authorities for restoration projects
- Overseeing construction teams during restoration work to ensure that historic features are preserved
- Regularly inspecting ongoing projects to ensure quality control
- Maintaining accurate records, including drawings, reports, and budgets
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1300$ per month for this position.
