Head Chef
We are in need of an experienced Head Chef to join our team in Utena, Lithuania. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the menu creation and food preparation for our restaurant. You will also be responsible for managing and training kitchen staff, ensuring food quality and safety standards are met, and maintaining inventory levels.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Chef in a high-volume restaurant
- Ability to create innovative and appealing menus using fresh and local ingredients
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper kitchen sanitation practices
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service of meals
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with other departments and communicate effectively with staff
Responsibilities:
- Develop seasonal menus that reflect our commitment to using fresh, local ingredients
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper food preparation techniques, portion control, and sanitation practices
- Maintain inventory levels of food supplies, equipment, and utensils
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes and quality standards are met consistently
- Monitor food costs by controlling portion sizes while minimizing waste
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events or promotions involving food services
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1700$ per month for this full-time position. Additional benefits include health insurance coverage after 6 months of employment.
