Pastry Chef
A well-established bakery in Utena is seeking a highly skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our team. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of desserts, pastries, and baked goods. Your main duties will include developing new recipes, managing inventory and ordering supplies, training and supervising junior pastry chefs, and ensuring the highest quality of products and service.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a professional kitchen
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification in pastry arts
- Excellent knowledge of different pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Ability to create visually appealing and delicious desserts
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Good communication skills in English (knowledge of Lithuanian is an advantage)
Responsibilities:
- Develop new dessert recipes that meet our customers' preferences
- Prepare all pastry items according to established recipes with attention to detail
- Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of ingredients
- Order supplies as needed while keeping costs within budget
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs on proper techniques
- Oversee the baking process to maintain high quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
