Contract Librarian - Albena, Bulgaria



We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contract Librarian to join our team in Albena, Bulgaria. As a Contract Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library collection, assisting patrons with research and information needs, and promoting library services to the community.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the library collection, including cataloging, shelving, and weeding.
- Provide reference services to patrons by assisting with research inquiries and locating materials.
- Develop and implement programs and activities that promote the library's resources and services.
- Collaborate with other librarians to plan and execute special events or projects.
- Assist with budget management and procurement of new library materials.
- Train volunteer staff members on library procedures and policies.
- Stay up-to-date on current trends in library science and incorporate new technologies into library services.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
- Prior experience working in a library setting preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of cataloging systems, reference resources, and online databases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1100 per month for this contract position.
