Contract Librarian in Plovdiv, Bulgaria


We are hiring a Contract Librarian to join our team in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. As a Librarian, your main responsibility will be to manage and organize our library collection, assist patrons with research and reference inquiries, and promote library programs and services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Catalog and classify library materials using standard classification systems
- Maintain an organized and up-to-date library collection
- Assist patrons with finding information and conducting research
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and resolving issues
- Promote library programs and services through outreach activities
- Create engaging displays to showcase new acquisitions or highlight specific topics
- Collaborate with colleagues on collection development and program planning
- Stay current on industry trends and developments in the field of librarianship

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field (Master's preferred)
- Knowledge of library classification systems (e.g. Dewey Decimal, Library of Congress)
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to work with diverse populations
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in using technology for cataloging, research, and communication purposes
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Salary:
This is a contract position offering a monthly salary of $1500 USD.

Location:
This position is based in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Candidates must have legal authorization to work in Bulgaria.

Accommodation:
This is not a live-in position. Accommodation will not be provided.

Experience Level:
