Job Title: Library Assistant


A reputable library in Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled and dedicated Library Assistant to join our team. As a Library Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks related to the daily operations of the library. This includes maintaining the organization of materials, processing new items, assisting patrons with finding resources, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with maintaining organization of library materials and shelves
- Process new items into the library system
- Assist patrons with finding resources and answering questions
- Provide excellent customer service to all library users
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of supplies
- Participate in collection development activities
- Assist with programs and events as needed

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Library Science preferred
- Previous experience working in a library or similar setting is highly preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work well with diverse populations
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with library databases and systems
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and reach high shelves as needed

Working Conditions:
This position is based in Abu Dhabi. We welcome applicants of all nationalities who have a valid visa to work in the UAE. This is a part-time position, offering a salary of 1700$ per month.
