Contract Baker
Location: Lom, Togo
We are in need of a skilled and experienced baker to join our team on a contract basis. As a Contract Baker, you will be responsible for producing high-quality breads, pastries, and other baked goods for our bakery. You must have a passion for baking and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake various types of breads, pastries, and other baked goods according to recipes
- Mix ingredients and knead dough by hand or using dough mixer
- Monitor oven temperatures and adjust cooking times accordingly
- Decorate cakes and pastries using different types of icings, toppings, and decorations
- Ensure all baked goods are of high quality and meet food safety standards
- Maintain inventory levels of baking supplies and equipment
- Clean work area after each shift to maintain a hygienic workplace
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a baker is required
- Knowledge of different types of flours, yeast, sugars, and other ingredients used in baking
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and make adjustments as needed
- Good physical stamina as the job may require standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy baking trays or bags of flour/sugar
- Strong attention to detail to ensure consistent quality in all products produced
- Flexibility to work early mornings or late nights as needed
