Chef de Cuisine
As a Chef de Cuisine, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of our upscale restaurant in Bansko. Your primary role will be to lead and manage our kitchen team, ensuring the highest quality of food and service is provided to our guests. You will also be responsible for creating new menus, managing inventory and ordering supplies, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the kitchen team to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Create new menus that meet our standards of quality and appeal to our guests
- Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff to maintain high levels of performance
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, rotation, and use of all food products
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times
- Implement proper food safety protocols and maintain hygiene standards
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and new ingredients
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or similar role in a fine dining establishment
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus)
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, flavors, and presentation styles
- Ability to create innovative dishes while adhering to budget constraints
- Attention to detail with excellent time management skills
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Salary: $1200 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Bansko (relocation assistance may be provided for non-local candidates)
