Restaurant Manager
As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant in Nairobi. Your main goal will be to ensure customer satisfaction and manage the restaurant's financial performance. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication and organizational abilities, and a passion for providing exceptional service.
Responsibilities:
- Train and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, cooks, and bussers
- Create work schedules and assign tasks to employees
- Monitor employee performance and provide feedback
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the restaurant
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers
- Collaborate with the chef to create new menu items and specials
- Monitor financial performance, including sales, costs, and profits
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a managerial role in the food service industry (experience in a similar setting preferred)
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Proficiency in computer systems such as POS software
- Fluency in English (additional languages are an asset)
-Nationality: Preferably Kenyan or East African
Salary: $1600 per month
