Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Ar-Ruwais. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our company and ensuring accurate and timely reporting. You will also provide guidance and support to junior accountants and work closely with other departments to ensure compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in accounting, strong analytical skills, and excellent knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1700$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, cash flow management, and general ledger
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of all bank accounts
- Monitor budget variances and provide explanations for any discrepancies
- Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures
- Review and approve journal entries prepared by junior accountants
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
- Train and mentor junior accountants on accounting processes and procedures

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or related field
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with accounting software (SAP preferred)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
- Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred
