Fitter Technician
A dynamic and growing company in Washington is seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter Technician to join our team. As a Fitter Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and installing mechanical parts according to blueprints and specifications. This role requires strong technical abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble mechanical parts according to blueprints and specifications
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and fit parts
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during assembly or installation process
- Work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure project deadlines are met
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience in mechanical assembly or related field
- Strong understanding of blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues independently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with biometric passport technology is a plus
- Familiarity with welding techniques
- Availability for part time work
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent communication skills
