Part-Time Librarian

Our public library in Washington is seeking a part-time librarian to join our team. This is a contract position with a salary of $1200 per month. We are looking for someone with experience in library services and who can work independently without accommodations. A biometric passport is preferred, but not required.

As a librarian, you will be responsible for assisting patrons with finding and checking out materials, answering reference questions, and providing guidance on research techniques. You will also be responsible for maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the library, including shelving books and other materials.

The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills and be comfortable interacting with diverse groups of people. You should have a passion for reading and be knowledgeable about a variety of literature genres. Previous experience working in a library setting is preferred.

This position requires attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As this is a part-time role, flexibility in scheduling is necessary. The schedule will include evenings and weekends.

A biometric passport is preferred as it allows for easy access to government databases and resources. However, if you do not have one, we can assist you in obtaining one.
