Executive Pastry Chef
We are seeking an experienced and talented Executive Pastry Chef to join our team in Washington. As the Executive Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our pastry department, including menu planning, recipe development, budgeting, and training and managing a team of pastry chefs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and update pastry menus based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Create new and innovative pastry recipes while also maintaining classic favorites
- Ensure all pastry items are prepared to the highest quality standards
- Manage inventory and ordering of all pastry ingredients and supplies
- Maintain budgetary goals through cost control measures
- Train and supervise a team of pastry chefs, providing guidance and support as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special event menus and offerings
- Ensure compliance with health codes and sanitation standards in the pastry department
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Degree in culinary arts or relevant field preferred
- Extensive knowledge of different types of pastries, techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Creative mindset with a passion for staying up-to-date on industry trends
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1400 per week plus benefits for this full-time position.

Our restaurant is located in the heart of Washington, making it easily accessible by public transportation.
