Dishwasher for Busy Restaurant in Washington

We are hiring a hardworking Dishwasher to join our team at a busy restaurant in Washington. As a Dishwasher, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dishwashing area. Your main duties will include washing dishes, cutlery, and other kitchen tools, as well as ensuring that all items are properly sanitized and stored. You will also assist with basic food prep and cleaning tasks as needed.

To excel in this position, you should have previous experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment and be able to work efficiently under pressure. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail are essential qualities for this role. The ability to follow directions and work well within a team is also important.

Key Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, etc. by hand or using commercial dishwashing equipment
- Ensure all items are properly sanitized according to health codes
- Organize clean dishes and utensils for easy access by kitchen staff
- Assist with basic food prep tasks such as chopping vegetables or portioning food items
- Clean kitchen equipment and surfaces regularly to maintain high standards of hygiene
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and inform management when restocking is needed

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience working as a Dishwasher in a fast-paced restaurant setting is preferred but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Physically fit with the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
- Knowledge of proper sanitation procedures and health codes is an asset
- Positive attitude with the ability to work well under pressure
